“A lot of people don’t have a team, I see a lot of my friends that are single and don’t have that support from their families. I feel that this should push you to find a community of like-minded individuals. I've met a lot of friends who I didn't even know a year ago and a lot of times those are your biggest supporters, strangers, instead of your own family. So don't even worry if your family doesn't support you because most likely it will be a stranger that purchases your merchandise or services," she says.

Congratulations, Giana Ritual Theory
Join us in congratulating Berwyn Shops’ own candle extraordinaire and self-care advocate! Giana, owner of Ritual Theory, recently walked across the stage at Trinity College, graduating with a double degree in Cultural Anthropology and International Studies. Since graduation, Giana has set out to combine healing, home goods, and environmentalism by offering ritualist candles and holistic products. Stop by her space at the Berwyn Shops. Congratulations, Giana, on all of your hard work!

Broadcasting from her space filled with bilingual children’s books, Laura provided a brief overview of the Shops and invited all to attend the grand opening on June 3rd at noon. Valerie Vedral, Laura Romani, and Alba Mendez did an INCREDIBLE job representing the Berwyn Shops at the 2022 Illinois Tax Increment Association (ITIA) Conference! Our 3 vendors joined the BDC team as panelists, sharing their proudest moments at the Berwyn Shops, biggest challenges as small business owners, and lessons they have learned so far.
Valerie, Laura, and Alba even gave the 120+ attendees a sneak peek of new products coming to the site, impressive partnerships in the works, and their current plans for life after the incubator - Stay tuned for exciting updates soon!
